Master Alan Ritvo
Owner & Head Instructor
Alan Ritvo started taking martial arts lessons at the age of 10, studying Shotokan Karate in the Boston area where he grew up. After high school he enlisted in the US Military, completed basic and advanced training at Fort McClellan, Alabama, and was stationed in Germany for three years with the 570th Military Police Platoon. Alan relocated to Ohio and owns and operates Riverview Martial Arts and Fitness, where he teaches martial arts, self defense, group fitness and personal training. He is a 5th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and a 1st degree black belt in Combat Hapkido, a certified NRA instructor, a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a Master Instructor and Regional Director for the Independent Tang Soo Do Association (ITA). Alan lives in Rocky River, OH.
Alex Dyer
Muay Thai & Kickboxing Instructor
Alex's first experience with combat sports was Japanese Jiu Jitsu as a kid. He began boxing in his teens and studied the Marine Corps Martial Arts program while serving as an enlisted Marine. After moving to Cleveland in 2020 he began taking kickboxing and Muay Thai classes under Alan and Joe, and now teaches both. His philosophy is that every class needs a learning component, a fitness component and a challenge component, so students improve physically, mentally and spiritually every time they come to the gym.

Lauren Ritvo
Tang Soo Do Instructor
Martial arts has been a part of my life since I was just five years old. I earned my first-degree black belt at the age of nine and achieved my second-degree black belt at twelve. Growing up in martial arts taught me the importance of discipline, perseverance, confidence, and respect—values that continue to shape who I am today. Today, I am also a licensed physical therapist, bringing a unique understanding of the human body, movement, strength, and injury prevention to my martial arts background. I am passionate about helping others build confidence, develop physical skills, and reach their full potential both inside and outside the dojo. Riverview Martial Arts is more than just a martial arts school; it’s a family. Having grown up in the martial arts community, I understand the positive impact it can have on individuals and families. My dad founded the school, and my siblings and I continue to be involved in its martial arts and exercise classes. We take pride in creating a welcoming, family-oriented environment where students of all ages can learn, grow, and challenge themselves while building lasting friendships. I am proud to be part of the Riverview Martial Arts family and to help carry forward the values and traditions that have meant so much to me throughout my life.
